Momul Tea Factory was commissioned in 2002 as a two line factory, with a capacity of 15 million kilograms of Green Leaf. In 2008, the factory was upgraded to a 3-line factory with a capacity of 25 million kilograms of Green Leaf. The type of tea manufactured at Momul Tea Factory is the Black CTC.

Our company profile

WHEN
Tea was first grown in the catchment in 1948. However, most of the farms were established in the later years of 1964, and continue to expand to date.

WHERE
The factory was built on a 17-acre plot, situated 35 kilometers from Kericho Town, along the Kericho-Sondu-Kisumu road, within Chemamul location, Kabianga Division of Kericho West Sub County, Kericho County.

Special Projects
The Settet Micro-Hydro Electricity Generation Project; This is the first project of its kind in the West of Rift. It is nearing completion, after which, the factory will be 100% self-sufficient in power supply.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Momul Tea Factory offers full high school scholarship to bright but needy students within the catchment. The factory is also involved in Wetlands conservation, partnering with other stakeholders in the Mau West reforestation and conservation. Furthermore, Momul Tea Factory greatly assists in constructing and equipping local schools.
